The two were together at both Carlisle and Southampton and Wadsworth brought Murray to Oldham in 2001. Simon Corney conceded, “Paul would become our best paid player if he decided to stay, but I don’t expect that to happen. Brian Talbot has already had a £20,000 bid refused but he has not yet given up on signing his former striker. As a result of Rushden’s relegation they have freed nine of their players, including Jack who still has another year left on his contract. Jack scored 13 goals last season but is very reluctant to play in the Third Division.
