Mystery man uncovered

The mystery man has been uncovered. Manchester United’s Kenny Cooper has signed a one month loan deal and will be in the squad for Sunday's FA Cup Fourth Round clash at home against Bolton Wanderers. Twenty year old Cooper joined the Reds last season and is being talked about as an exciting prospect for the future. Cooper is American and signed from Dallas Mustangs before going on loan to Portuguese club Academica. The loan didn’t work out and the 6’-3” striker returned to Old Trafford.

Cooper told the official site, “Obviously it's the job of the striker to score goals. I've come here to help this team and hopefully score as many goals as I can. It's an exciting time for the Club. I'm looking forward to getting in there and training and showing the manager what I can do. When he calls upon me I'll be ready.”

Brian Talbot replied, “I don't think it's fair on my boys. I think the ones who got through the last round should be playing. He's a big striker, he's keen, he's hungry- and hopefully he'll come and help us. The only time I’ve seen him is in United’s reserves, but I know he’s a big lad who is very keen to play here. Kenny must have something because United brought him over, so hopefully he can hold the ball up, bring others into play and a score a few goals.”

Latics squad: Pogliacomi, Bruce, Haining, D. Hall, Griffin, Croft, Hughes, Kilkenny, Eyres, Betsy, Eyre, Lomax, Appleby, Bonner, Cooper, C. Hall, Lever, Boshell, Mildenhall.
