Nantwich game off....

Tomorrow's friendly game against Nantwich Town will now not take place. The game has been cancelled after the agreement to use Stone Dominoes Springbank Stadium collapsed. The Nantwich officials tried desperately to arrange an alternative venue but were unsuccessful.

As a result of the cancellation, the Latics manager Brian Talbot has decided not to follow up his interest in Slovenian goalkeeper Dino Seremet and he has left. Seremet was due to play half the game as Talbot had decided to use mass substitutions like he did at Stalybridge but the cancellation has scuppered that plan.

The only game this weekend will be the youth team who will play their first game since winning the Lancashire F.A. Youth Cup last season. The game will be played at New Mills with a 2:00pm. kick off.
