Neil Kilkenny joins Latics

Birmingham City midfielder Neil Kilkenny has joined Latics on a one month loan. Kilkenny is a midfielder and is 19 years of age and was a former Arsenal trainee who has impressed in the reserve team at Birmingham. The Blues manager Steve Bruce rates the England Youth player very highly and feels that he could benefit from some first team experience.

Bruce has allowed permission for Kilkenny to play in the FA Cup and the LDV Vans Trophy if required. Kilkenny will probably to go straight into the squad for Saturday’s game against Barnsley.
