Never-say-die attitude brings result

Kieran Lee, who scored the equalising goal at Bramall Lane, believes that it was the Latics' never-say-die attitude that brought such an unexpected 3-2 win over Sheffield United.

Lee said, “We were losing 2-0 at half time and came out thinking we had nothing to lose. We pulled a goal back and then they had a man sent off which gave us a massive boost and we kicked on. We had a spot of luck with the own goal, but we haven't had that recently and it is about time something went our way. Since the defeat against MK Dons, we are unbeaten winning twice and drawing our other game and the lads have been confident going into each game. Even at 2-0, we still believed we could come back as we had been creating chances.”

“It is only my second goal of the season and hopefully there may be a couple more to come. The young lads have come in and, despite not playing many games in their careers, have excelled and probably done better than anyone expected."
