New face for Huddersfield game?

Athletic's squad of 23 has been decimated through injury and they are left with only 15 fit professionals. With the back line being the main area lacking, manager Ronnie Moore is set to bring in a new face, possibly before Saturdays visit of Yorkshire neighbours, Huddersfield Town.

Moore said, “We’ve got two centre-halves (Gareth Owen and Rob Scott) and just one ’keeper (Chris Day), so I’ll have to see what I can find. We can make loan signings from Thursday onwards, and it’s a good job because we are definitely struggling. I’m concerned about defence because the lads who are missing are our strong players like Guy Branston, Will Haining and Chris Swailes. We’ve put ourselves under pressure with the last couple of results and we could do with a big presence at the back.”
