Nottingham Forest Preview

Latics boss John Sheridan takes his team to face high-flying Nottingham Forest at the City Ground tonight after struggling for most of the season. Saturday's home defeat by Northampton dropped the Latics into the relegation spots, a position which would have been calamitous if talked about at the start of the season. Could this be the game that kick-starts the Latics so far disasterous campaign?

Shez told Latics World, "Games like this are the ones you want to play in. They're playing well and are very good at home, so this is a test for us and we'll see how we do against them. I'm looking forward to the next three away games. For some reason you seem to have to have that little bit of extra nous and character at home, and you've got to have that confidence you can do things. I've noticed little things creeping into our play at home, but away we've done okay."

"Last year's gone and that's by the by. But hopefully we can go to Nottingham and repeat the performance as it was very good. We played very well down there and looked a good team. We need a little spark somewhere, a little bit of luck and putting one in with our backsides. We've got to make things easier for ourselves because you have to score goals to win games. I might change one or two things and will go with what I believe in. I want to win more than anybody. I hate losing."

"Maybe it's a Smalley, a Wolfy or a Lewis, but I need something from somewhere. We've only scored five goals at home so far this season whereas our defensive record isn't bad. That shows we're good at working hard to defend, and now we need to improve at the other end to give us confidence and belief."
