Canadian striker Carlo Corazzin is lending his support to Oldham Council in celebrating Canada Day on Monday 1st July. Oldham has struck up a new friendship link with Canada as part of the Commenwealth adopt a nation scheme for 'the friendly games'. To acknowledge Canada Day and the new friendship link the Canadian Flag will fly at Oldham Civic Centre on Monday and throughout the period of the Commonwealth Games.

The Maple Leaf flag will be hoisted by Latics's very own Canadian Carlo Corazzin with the help of Executive member for Culture, Leisure and Tourism, Cllr. Chris Hilyer and Chief Executive Andrew Kilburn.
