Oldham have boosted with the news that captain Reuben Hazell does not require an operation on his knee. Hazell sustained the injury in training last week, raising fears of a prolonged spell on the sidelines and a possible operation. However, he has recovered swiftly and could even be in contention for a return in Saturday's home npower League One match against Colchester.
