If Chris Swailes fails to get fit for the visit of McFranchise FC Gareth Owen is in line for an unexpected recall to the team. As Guy Branston will miss the game through suspension, Owen is in line to slot back into the team.

Owen said, "I am ready and able. I always prepare well when I am on the bench or not even involved. If the chance does occur it is up to me to take it. MK Dons are scrapping for their lives. They have to start winning games right now or they will go down. I am sure they will re-double their efforts, but we are riding high on good form, the morale is high in the camp is fine and there is no doubt we are good enough to get all three points. On current form we are the main side at the moment and I don't see why we can't made a good bid for promotion. There are some big games coming up but we have the squad to do it and I see no reason why we can't. If we do go up, it will be a big test for us. But we have a good manager, good owners, a good basis here and I am sure we would survive in the Championship and do well."

"It has been great. Obviously no one likes to be injured but it is part and parcel of football life. I have really enjoyed myself and have no doubts that I made the right decision in the summer to come here. Yes, it has been frustrating but still a lot better than being at Stoke because I have still made more appearances than I would with them."

Manager Ronnie Moore said, "No disrespect to Gareth Owen, but I hope we don't have to make too many changes at the back. We've already brought Terrell Forbes back in to cover for Swailes, and this isn't the time of year when you want to be messing about with your defence. It can be hard to catch up with the pace, so I think it would be a massive plus if Swailes was able to play. His experience and leadership could be vital, especially with Guy Branston getting himself a suspension."
