Gareth Owen (pictured) has returned to Boundary Park for a second spell on loan from Stoke City. The 6'-2" centre half had three months on loan at the Latics back in 2004 when he made 15 appearances. He went straight into the team against Luton and the 22 year old didn’t disappoint. He gave a polished performance and brought some stability to the back line, something which has been sadly lacking of late. With the addition of Luke Beckett who signed on loan from Sheffield United on Friday, things are starting to look a little bit more rosey down at Boundary Park.
