Pearson philosophical

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson was philosophical after he watched his side stutter to a 0-0 draw against an Athletic team that played most of the second half without a goalkeeper.

He told the official Foxes' website, "Of course I am frustrated. That was certainly two points dropped for us today. We went into the game on the back of two very good away wins, but we weren't very fluid today and we didn't play as well as we can do. When you look at the way that the game has developed with the sending off, Dean Windass going in goal and us missing a penalty then it is all very frustrating. But there were still a number of positives to come out of the fixture."

"I know that over the course of the season we will misfire from time to time. It was just one of those days. I will be delighted when we get our next penalty and Matty smashes it into the back of the net. He has hit the target for us 25 times this season, but we are all human and we all make mistakes. He has been fantastic for us this year and there is no reason for anyone to doubt his ability to score more goals this season."
