Penney - "we're not getting the breaks"

Dave Penney summed up the defeat at Gillingham when he told the official website, "It was an awful game in awful conditions. Right now we're not getting the breaks, the decisions. The penalty we're not happy about and we're just not quite getting it at the moment. Febian Brandy is tiny and lightweight and so it's easy to knock him down. The ball held up in the wind when normally it would have sailed through to Darryl in goal and then it's a foot race with Sean, Sean has got something on the ball and the kids gone down and it's gone against us."

"We're not getting turned over, not getting battered, but the other side is we need to turn these fine line results into wins not losses. That's two or three we've had with really poor weather conditions now. Plus the pitch was lively, it doesn't look like they've cut it and you can see that when it wouldn't quite sit for Danny Whitaker for his chance. But on another day that's a goal or a penalty to us and it changes the game. We had a some good strikes and it's about scoring more goals, we're clearly missing Pav, he's been one of our top players, but it's up to people like Nick, who did well today, to come and step to the plate. We have to start winning and picking points up, it's that simple."
