Philliskirk gets call up

Former Latics starlet Danny Philliskirk has been given an International call up. Danny left the Latics to join Premiership giants Chelsa last May on a four year contract. England under-19's coach Noel Blake has seen enough of the youngster to let him play for his country in the Nordic Championships in Denmark.
The young lions will play Iceland at the Fredericia Stadium and Finland at the Kolding Stadium before taking on Sweden on August 2nd. Philliskirk was signed for an undisclosed figure and it is not known if the Latics will receive any payment for the honour.
