The Latics have two players on stand-by for International duty. Defender Neal Eardley (pictured) is on stand-by for the Wales U21 International against Israel on 16th. August. Due to the unrest in Tel Aviv, the fixture will probably be played in Cyprus. Mark Hughes is the other player currently on stand-by. He is on call for the full Northern Ireland squad who take on Finland in Helsinki on the same date as the Welsh U21 game. Neither players are expected to miss any of Athletic games if called up.
