Plymouth don’t currently have a permanent manager after Paul Sturrock left for Southampton but caretaker manager Kevin Summerfield is doing a good job. They lost on Tuesday night however to fellow South-Western opposition Bristol City 1-0.

Previous Match

Oldham took the lead in this game after Beherall headed home from a corner on 9 minutes. Plymouth equalised on 16 minutes, Paul Wotton curled in a fantastic free kick. A few minutes before the break John Sheridan and David Friio were sent off for a ‘punch up’ when Sheridan was halted by Friio when he was to go clear. Sheridan chased after Friio up the tunnel for some more. Plymouth went ahead just after the break when Mickey Evans headed home from a corner. On 63 minutes Oldham were level when Beherall fired home for his second goal of the game and give Oldham hope. Oldham ended the game with 9 men when Paul Murray was sent off for a dangerous challenge.
