Goalkeeper Paul Rachubka has put pen to paper to sign a one-year contract extension with the club. Rachubka played a lead role in the excellent unbeaten 10 game run as the Latics concluded their season.

Rachubka commented, "I'm happy that my contract has been continued here because I enjoy it. I enjoyed it the first time and this time is going really well. In the last ten games we went unbeaten so what more can you ask for. One of the reasons why I signed was to get the consistency and foundation in place to make us kick on next season now. It was such a positive thing to get the run going until the end of the season and the lads want to continue that now. I think one of the reasons why we did so well in the last ten games was that the whole team didn't really change. We worked out how to play together and produced results."

"It's a club that will be at the top end of the table. I don't say things for the sake of it but I do honestly believe that. That's where we will be and I think we can achieve that with ease. When the season starts, I'll be ready. It's great fun now when I'm off but it will be great when I get back and see the lads and the new faces."
