Reduced prices but who pays in the long run?

I agree with the concept that the Latics are giving reduced prices of admission to young supporters but I have to take issue that they are losing big bucks by charging £22 for visiting supporters. I'm sure that more people would go to watch if the costs were reduced. I went to Swindon and paid a ridiculous £23 to watch third division football. I know, it's my choice but I'm seriously considering if I should make an appointment with the nurse.

Admission prices ARE putting off the fine weather casual supporters unless we are on a winning streak and playing entertaining football, something that young Latics supporters will not know much about. Football is being ruined by greedy players, agents and other scroungers who are all taking our hard earned cash OUT of the game. Look at the scandalous situation at Chelsea who now charge a minimum of £45 for away fans! It beggars belief.

Several of my old pals who used to go every week are now selecting just the bigger games as they can't afford to watch our level of football on a regular basis. Gone are the days when it was an honour to play professional football. These greedy, money grabbing so called super stars are not fit to lace the boots of the successful 60's players who brought huge gates down to Boundary Park. Do any of todays players know what being faithful is? If not, ask Ian Wood.

Numbers are up according to the Football League but just how many of those numbers are paying to watch the game and how many are on "freebies?"
