Reeves rejoins Chesterfield

David Reeves has rejoined Chesterfield after signing an eighteen month contract and will face his old team on Saturday when the Latics visit. Reeves (35) had a loan spell with the Spireites and he was a favourite at Saltergate for
five years before signing for Oldham just over a year ago.

Of his move Reeves said, β€œIt's fantastic to be back and I hope the fans make me welcome because I love Chesterfield and the fans have always been really good to me. I am sure I can give a bit more this time as I was really apprehensive when I was on loan. I know how good the Chesterfield fans can be and hope they all get behind the team for the remainder of the season as it can be worth a goal start. All I want for Christmas is some points in the bag for the fans, starting with the visit of my old club Oldham Athletic on Saturday. Rush and Rico are doing such a great job for the club. Players now actually want to come to Chesterfield, believe it or not!”
