Reeves to return?

David Reeves has a "good chance" of winning his comeback fight from ankle ligament damage in time to face Notts County at the weekend. The veteran 34-year-old striker has missed the last three games with ankle ligament damage but was back running earlier this week and trained with the first team squad this morning.

Mick Wadsworth said Reeves had a "good chance" of making Saturday's visit to relegation-threatened County. He said, “David's ankle is strong and we are pleased with his progress.” Reeves recently switched to Boundary Park from Chesterfield following a successful loan spell when he scored three goals in five games.

Wadsworth will hope he can be among the goals again at the weekend as the Latics look to maintain their promotion push by picking up three points at Meadow Lane.
