Peter Reid is another manager who has recently been linked with the vacant job at Boundary Park. Reid has however ruled himself out because he is still negotiating his severence pay from Leeds. Reid was dismissed before Christmas after a woeful run which plunged leeds deep into the relegation battle, a run which culminated in a 6-1 drubbing by Portsmouth.

Reid had been in charge at Elland road just eight months. He said, “I'm not interested in the Oldham job because I haven't sorted myself out with Leeds yet and I want a rest.”
