Due to the injury to striker Jake Cassidy the Latics are on the hunt for a replacement. It is likely that a loan deal could be on the cards to temporarily boost the striking power of goal shy Latics.
Cassidy is likely to be out of action for three months due to ligament damage and a fracture and Swansea youngster James Demetriou is rumoured to be in the running for a starting spot at Boundary Park.
Latics boss Darren Kelly said, “We are looking at a couple and we will see how it materialises over the next day or two.”
