Retained list out soon

Ronnie Moore is contemplating which of his players will be retained and which will be released at the end of this season. Moore himself still does not know if he will be at the club but has the task of deciding which of the current squad, most of them are out of contract, will be staying. The club have two non-contract players, three on loan and a total of twelve who will become free agents in the summer.

Moore told the Chronicle, “We are trying to work out who we’ll want at the club if we are still here next season. The owners haven’t said anything about our own situation, but we’ve got to do this job as though as we are here long-term. That includes looking at which players we would like to bring in and who stays and goes from the existing squad. Even if there’s a different manager here, we want to leave a group of players who are capable of challenging at the top.”
