Andy Ritchie has been appointed as Barnsley's Academy Director of football. The former Latics star player and manager had been kicking his heels after losing his position at Leeds due to their financial difficulties. The new Barnsley Chairman Peter Ridsdale said, “We are delighted to welcome Andy to the club. He will be charged with re-invigorating the youth set up at Oakwell.
