New goalkeeper Jack Ruddy, on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, is looking forward to working with goalkeeping coach Carlo Nash and he expects to improve under his leadership. He is available to play in the side at Fleetwood Town on Saturday.

He said, “It will be my first time playing football with a run of games in the league, which will be a lot different to under-23 level. Even to get a couple of games here will be lot more beneficial than 10, 12 games at under-23 level, so I think it will bring me along. I’ve just seen the other two lads [Ben Wilson and Johny Placide] this morning and we got on well. Training was good, it was healthy competition.”

“It was a sharp session. It was quite hard, but I enjoyed it. It is nothing that I’m not really familiar with, but it was fine. Just being around the first team environment will develop me as a goalkeeper and if I can play games then even better. Carlo will definitely bring me on as a goalkeeper.”
