The manager said, “It is a great achievement from the players are they are the ones who need all the praise. They were in a sticky period and it did look doubtful. Since I have come in, they have responded really well. They deserve the credit for driving on and forgetting about what had gone on before. Every manager is different and they have responded to me. I couldn't have asked for any more. We didn't play well here. We have had some tough games leading up to this one. Deep down, I thought we were already safe, but I was never going to say that. The players ground out a result and we are decent at keeping clean sheets.”
