Sammi on trial

Brian Talbot has offered a trial to Nigerian Sammi.

Latics fans may remember the 6’5” forward from pre-season. He appeared for Bolton during Oldham’s 1-0 friendly defeat at Boundary Park. Sammi felled Mark Arber and Will Haining with two ungraceful challenges.

But Talbot was unhappy with Oldham’s play up front on Saturday, so is looking to bring in new strikers. His options up front are further limited because Chris Killen is injured, again.

He added, “We’re in a position where we haven’t got money to buy a player, so we’ve got to have a look at who’s available”.
