Oldham midfielder Rob Purdie has confirmed that he was withdrawn from Oldham's reserve game against Burnley on Tuesday night. The former Darlington player's first season at Boundary Park was ruined by injury, but he insists tightness in his groin and back are nothing to be overly concerned about as he continues his return to action. "I would rather be out for a couple of days rather than play, aggravate them (the injuries) and be out for weeks," Purdie told Oldham's official website.
