John Sheridan was obviously disappointed after the Rotherham defeat. The first half was commendable but the team fell to pieces in the second half and put in their worst 45 minutes of the season. The Latics boss commented, "I cannot accept the way we played and defended in the second half. We played very well in the first half, but football's a 90-minute game and I was very disappointed with the second-half performance."
"The goals we conceded were a joke. The set-pieces were on the board before the game. We went through who was marking who and yet people still switched off. I can't believe I have to repeat myself to professional footballers. But I'll get the lads in, we'll watch the video and they will learn."
