Sheridan praises Taylor

John Sheridan hailed Chris Taylor's performance after he got the Latics back into the match against Gillingham. It was his second goal of the season and the timing of the goal became the turning point in the match.

Shez commented, "I'm pleased for Chris because he was taking a bit of stick from the crowd. The pleasing thing is he played very well. I tell you what, I would hate to have to mark him. Their right back had the game of his life in the first half having to defend with Chris running at him. He wasn't getting the end product initially but I told him to keep believing and to keep getting that ball. Chris never hid and that's the sign of a good player. I'm pleased he scored and especially pleased with his second-half performance."
