Sheridan's last game as boss?

As the Latics are expected to leave administration a week on Thursday it could mean that their match at Brighton could be the last with John Sheridan and David Eyres in temporary charge as caretaker managers.

Sheridan said, “I’ve made it clear I want the job and all I can do is keep preparing for games as normal. It has been a great experience so far and I’m pleased the lads have responded to me so well. We’ve been unfortunate not to take more points because we should have beaten Brentford and we should have won at Grimsby instead of drawing 3-3. You can’t keep making excuses when you don’t win games, but the lads have given me 100 per cent from the start.”
