He told Latics World, "This is a great game for us against probably the biggest team in the division in front of a massive crowd. I know I've said it before but these are the games players should want to play in - they've got an opportunity to test themselves against a massive club. Without meaning to be disrespectful, we went there and gave a good account of ourselves last year and I feel we can do so again. Beaten play-off finalists last time around, Leeds are hot favourites to win promotion this year and will be going all-out for victory in front of an expected crowd of around 30,000. Leeds have some good players and have the resources to go out and buy the best in this division. But we've had two great results and I've been pleased with the way we've battled."
"We've got a good group of lads here who all get on and fight for each other on the pitch - I certainly think we've showed that so far. I still live in the Leeds area and I know what their fans are like. They will expect them to be promoted this year and it's up to us to go there and show we're a decent team. It will be very hard if Leeds get on top and the crowd get behind them, so it's important we go there, try to keep the fans quiet and hopefully get the job done."
