Latics take on second to bottom Cheltenham Town later today in a match that the Latics boss, John Sheridan, hopes will end a trend. His team have won at Nottingham Forest and have achieved good results against other high fliers but they have struggled against the strugglers. Defeats at Bournemouth and Millwall have hurt the progress of the team and Sheridan is hoping for an upturn in form against today's opposition.

Shez commented, “This division is hard to predict, but it's disappointing that we haven't beaten any of the bottom four sides. We don't want to look back and wonder what might have been, so I'm looking to really kick on this weekend. Cheltenham are a side who try to play good football, and they have a big lad up front (Kayode Odejayi) who is a real threat on his day. It's a tight ground and the crowd will be on top of us, so we've got to handle the situation by playing with belief.”
