Athletic coach John Sheridan is in trouble with the Football Association after his antics in the recent home game with Rotherham United. He has been charged with abusing a match official after his outburst when Deon Burton appeared to handle the ball before scoring the match winning goal. After being reported to the FA, Sheridan has admitted the charge of using “abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official”. The outcome is that Shez could be fined, given a touchline ban or both.
