John Sheridan is still in confident mood before Sunday's crucial first leg semi-final play-off game at Boundary Park. He told the official website, "Over the season, we deserve to be in the play-offs. We started the season poorly despite playing very well for no reward, and then we had a very good middle of the season that basically got us in this position. On our day we're as good as anyone in this division. Blackpool are the in-form team. Simon Grayson's done very well and they're a good side going forward, but we're as good as them. The two games between the sides this season were both very close."

"The semi-final's going to be very even and close, but if we perform like we can I'm confident we can get to Wembley. Any manager will say that it's important you give yourselves a chance for the second leg. If we don't win the first game, it's important we keep ourselves in the tie and in with a chance for the second game."
