Lee Johnson has signed striker Jon Stead who has played over 350 league and cup games and has scored almost 100 goals.
His career began at Huddersfield Town he moved to Premiership Blackburn Rovers. Stead then had successful loan spells with Ipswich Town and Bristol City and then returned to Huddersfield in 2013.
Stead has joined the Latics on an initial one month 'emergency' loan basis.
