Striker Simonas Stankevicius has come to Boundary Park on a three month youth loan from Leicester City. The young prospect has been capped eight times by Lithuania and the Latics manager is confident that he will make an impact.
Darren Kelly said, “It is a very good signing for us. I’ve watched him several times for Leicester under 21s and he is the type of player we need. He’s in the Jake Cassidy mould and he is enthusiastic to come and help the team so we are looking forward to him forcing his way into the side.”
