Supporters' Trust member to sit on board

The Latics Supporters’ Trust are to achieve their dream of having a seat on the Athletic board as a new director. The new owners will follow through on their promise to involve the supporters in the running of the club and a Trust Oldham official will be invited on to the board next week.

The Trust has raised almost £250,000 since the dark months of last year when the club almost folded on a daily basis. It is assumed that some of the funds raised will now be ploughed back into Boundary Park and therefore give the fans a shareholding, and a major voice, in the new company.

Having a Trust representative as an official director will formalise the close relationship thought necessary for the long term well being of the club. Never again should a Chris Moore monopoly exist at Oldham Athletic!
