Bournemouth striker Sam Surridge has signed for the club on a season-long loan. The highly rated 20-year-old has impressed many other clubs but the Latics have managed to secure his signature. He made 53 appearances on loan for Yeovil Town while scoring 10 goals.
Surridge explained, “I’m really happy to finally get it done, it has been going on for a few weeks. I came here when I was in Bournemouth's Youth team in a Youth Cup match so I know what the stadium and atmosphere will be like and my first impressions are really good. I like to put myself about and work hard. I score goals, that’s what I want to do and that’s what I’m here for. I want to score as many as I can and get us promoted. The gaffer has said he wants to develop me and with him being an ex-striker that was one of the main reasons I’m here, he can show me a few things.”
