Swansea game should go ahead

Latics boss John Sheridan is expecting a tough game at Swansea on Saturday. Recent results to the top teams have proved that there are no easy games at this level. Just ask Bristol City and Nottingham Forest!

Shez told the official website, "In this league, every game is tough no matter who you play. Teams pushing for promotion are dangerous, as are those fighting against relegation. Lots of teams have something to play for. Swansea will be a very tough prospect. I think they have one of the best squads in the division but we can go there and win. I'm very pleased with our away form. We've scored lots of goals as the away side and hopefully we can continue taking the game to the home team. Swansea have some good players and the financial backing to add to their squad, and we'll have to earn the right to go and get something there. We're up for it, though. Hopefully Charlie (Charlton) will be okay. He feels a lot better today, so fingers crossed he'll be available. He's got another couple of days to get himself fit, otherwise it'll be the same squad."

The cold snap should not jeopardise the Latics game in South Wales as the Swansea officials are confident that the game will be played. The Liberty Stadium has undersoil heating and although Swansea has received snow overnight, the surrounding area to the ground is fine. Rain is falling in the area and should continue up until kick off which should keep the snow away.
