Latics manager will take the blame for the Brentford display but has no intention of walking out of Boundary Park.

It appears that Talbot's comments following the Brentford game, that he would  "take a look at himself if he could not get more out of the players" after Oldham's insipid display at Griffin Park, were misinterpreted.

Talbot says that "Nothing could be further from the truth", and would instead consider tinkering with different ideas in training.

He continued to say that his commitment to Latics was "as strong as ever" and that he was "determined to put things right after a poor start to the season".

If Brian is to "put things right" at Oldham, he admitted that he would have to continue working with what he's got, as Athletic still don't have any money available for signings.
