The Latics are currently sixth in League One after Saturday's 1-1 draw at derby rivals Rochdale and Taylor admits he is even thinking about the automatic promotion places.
"A point takes us into the play-offs and that is where we want to be," he said.
"We are only three points off second place, so we are still in a good position and we will crack on."
