Taylor out

Chris Taylor is out of action for the Brighton game today due to a hamstring injury. He was injured in the 3-1 win at Leeds United and has not played since. Tatlor admitted that he was "gutted" to miss the FA Cup win at Everton but is hoping to be fit in time for next weekend's game at Yeovil.

Meanwhile John Sheridan has major selection problens for the visit of Brighton as none of the back four who kept a clean sheet at Everton last weekend deserve to be dropped but Neal Trotman is hoping to return after suspension and may just force his way back into the team.

Sheridan said, "I've only got a small squad to choose from, but I need to make decisions and somebody is going to be upset. I've got people who are performing very well, so it's a better problem than the team just picking itself. I left Neal Eardley out against Leeds, but he came back at Everton because Neal Trotman was suspended and he played very well. Do I change it? These decisions are part of my job, and I'll pick the side who give us the best chance of beating Brighton. It's important we concentrate on this game because we've had a great start to the new year but we can't just sit back and reflect on it. Those other games have gone and we need to start picking up some good results at home, starting this weekend."
