Defender Andy Taylor has been signed on a one-year deal after featuring as a trialist in pre-season matches against Ashton United and FC United of Manchester.
Taylor began his career at Blackburn Rovers before going on loan with Queens Park Rangers, Blackpool, Crewe Alexandra, Huddersfield Town and Tranmere Rovers.
At Tranmere he signed a permanent deal and went on to make 69 appearances before moving to Sheffield United. Taylor has also represented England at under-16s, 17s, 18s, 19s and 20s level.
