Tisdale disappointed

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale expressed his disappointment to the official website after the loss at Oldham when he told them, "I am disappointed with the way we played, which doesn't happen very often. It is disappointing to have lost, disappointing that we didn't play better and we have to be better next week. They forced the game more and with more focus than we did and they were the better side than us. It was a fair result really, I think they deserved the win. Last half an hour I thought we were excellent but my issue with that was that it was too late and it is easier to do that when you are two nil down than at nil nil. I wish we had started the game like we finished it and we would have had a decent chance, but we didn't."

"I told the players at half-time that the best element of the first half was that it was nil nil, that was the only positive I could find from that first half, the fact that we hadn't conceded. It is not a slight on our defending, I think our defenders were our better players today on the whole. We lacked something in the first half and in the ten minutes after the break. I think we have got some fight about us but it was far too little far too late against a team very focused on three points."
