Athletic have decided not to sign trialist Andy Todd. Ronnie Moore, conscious of the amout of outgoings on summer signings, said that the only way they can bring in Todd or other players is if somebody leaves. Moore has published a list of “fringe” players who may be surplus to requirements but there have been no takers.

As Todd was considered no better that the exisiting players, the ex-Nottingham Forest player will be released. It is expected that he will sign for a Conference club. Accrington Stanley, Burton Albion, Hereford and Southport are all showing interest in the Hucknall Town player and he is expected to take an offer from one of these teams.
