January transfer rumour mills are indicating that clubs are interested in signing Latics defender Neal Trotman. Hull City boss Phil Brown is considering tabling a £500,000 offer for the 6'-2" Trotman who has impressed in his recent outings for the Latics.

Another team in the running are Plymouth Argyle who have also been linked with 20 year old Trotman who was released by Burnley in 2006. After Athletic snapped him up he was sent out to Halifax Town for a 3 month loan spell but has since settled into a regular first team place at Boundary Park and has made 19 appearances this season. He has also picked up 7 yellow cards and 1 red card but Pilgrims boss Paul Sturrock has had him watched and it is rumoured that he has already made an enquiry and could swoop to sign him before the transfer window closes.
