As far as I know it's ongoing at the moment. There is obviously an opportunity there for the young kid, because he's done very well for us. I will always stand by Neal, whatever decision he makes, and I hope the call he makes is the right one. If he wants some advice from me he knows I will back him all the way."
It is rumoured that Plymouth have put in an offer which could rise to £500,000 depending upon appearances after an initial payment of £350,000. Trotman will be out of contract in the summer and if he left then the fee would be set by a tribunal and the Latics might receive less.
