John Sheridan followed up the signing of Gary McDonald from Kilmarnock by giving a reprieve to ex-Latics keeper Les Pogliacomi after an undistinguished spell a Lancashire rivals Blackpool. Poggsy has resigned on a one year contract after former manager Ronnie Moore made it clear that there was no place for him at Boundary Park.Sheridan said, "I am happy to have Les back at Boundary Park. I know how good a keeper he is and I hope I can get him back to the form he showed three years back. On his day there is nothing better in this division."
