Athletic new boy Aaron Wilbraham is enjoying his time so much at the Latics that he would like to stay for another month. The Hull City striker, who has three years left on his contract, is on loan for a month and scored two goals in his debut game at Stockport, one of his former teams. He moved to Hull last summer for a fee of £100,000 but has struggled to establish himself at the KC Stadium and relishes the chance to get some first team experience.

Wilbraham feels right at home at Boundary Park as his girlfriend's dad is a season ticket holder. The local businessman also has an OAFC personalised number plate. Aaron said, “I am just happy playing and scoring goals. I have been involved in a few relegation scraps over the years and I am no stranger to the situation. Winning is always a good habit and the players here are good enough to get a run going and climb the table. I am enjoying first team action again and you never know what can happen, but I am at Oldham to show that I am worth my place back again.”

Hull manager Peter Taylor insists that Wilbraham will not be involved in a permanent move and made sure that he will miss the FA Cup tie at Thurrock as the Humbersiders don’t want him cup-tied.
